How do I beat the first Guadibia counter? He's taking hardly any damage due to his 'Invincible' state

I think just keep using laxius spells, you have to do a certain amount of damage before he quits.

Did you do the Mage Guild combo of spells boost?

Luciana combines her best spells into one - Royal Combo (Lord of the Dance + Laxius Omegadon + Laxius Incarmal)?
Give Luciana the Brain Dazzler and Inverness Bracer, you can do Laxius Boost on herself before the fight.

Wendala does Deadly 3 - Lucien Konikut + Laxius Blast + Striker
Give Wendala the North Star blade and Astral Ring

Equip Random with the Orb of Damage and Key of the Hero, and use Lethal Punishment

Sarah does Slasher, and heal if needed.
