I have reached lv 3 in mage guild. (apprentice level i think) I have also help the lamia to set up the shop. However, i still cant buy brain dazzler. Do i need a higher level?

it's in the shop down and to the right, you have to scroll all the way down, it should definitely be there....

You need to be rank 5 I believe, then the blue hair guy asks you to donate 15,000, then it shows up.

Rank 5..no wonder. Can you reach rank 5 if you play LF3 from scratch?

Also, i am having a little problem with the killing gaes quest...i went to thehole at southern adretana, and random comment that the hole is empty.

Go to the cave with the fire mage inside it (I think it's 1 up and 1 west from the area in the Land of 1000 lakes where you come from just west of Solwin's shop). You will see the box is moved and you can go down.
