Lost, and wanting to finish.

Lost, and wanting to finish.

Postby kkhohoho » Wed Sep 15, 2010 12:52 am

So, I'm in the Research Station on Astro-Litz, 80 hours in, wanting to finally finish, and have no idea what do next, pretty much just wandering around. (And yeah, as much as I like LFIII, it's gone on so long that I just want to get it over with, as much as I like it.) Can anyone get me some good, detailed help to getting to the GC that doesn't involve paying money for a guide?

The guide was free, wasn't it?

Ok, so I have finished and willing to help but it's a big place and some stuff to do. Let me know what you have just done and then I can give you some help to continue

I beat Guadibia the first time, entered the Iron Manor, made my way back to the room I fought Guadibida in, and eventually made my way to the Research Station. Oh, and I've explored a lot of places that didn't lead anywhere, and have pressed every switch I've seen.

Have you tried taking the same elevator as before but then go to a different level?

Spoiler: show
Name of the game now is to find someone to help you find the secret hideout of the ultimate bad guy. You will need to look for switches to allow you further access and you will meet the nasty bodyguards again. last hint from me is to make sure you save before you use the switches. This way you can go back if you get really stuck as some should not be touched.....oooh and be prepared to get lost so try and make mental images of places you have been like exploring each room before you go into side alleys. I got lost several times.....

There is ONE switch that has to be NOT turned ON.

...You know what? I really like LFIII. I really do. But - and no offense - it suffers from final dungeon syndrome, and that is to make the final dungeon overly long, overly confusing, and overly taxing, and having all of these random switches to press, with this one switch in who knows where that you have to not press, is just one factor amongst this amazingly long and amazingly confusing final dungeon. Assguard wasn't like this, Dreamscape wasn't like this, and even 3S wasn't like this, so I don't see why LFIII needs to be like this. There are ways to make a final dungeon feel 'final' while still making it fairly reasonable.

Again, no offense but...I won't give up just yet. I'll keep trying for now, but there's a good chance I'll be coming back here for more help. This whole affair irks me. +::Annoyed

if this helps, it is the right lever in a room where two levers are next to each other.

Seriously? I found dreamscape to be the longest, most confusing and most taxing game I have played in my entire life haha and I've played more of these things than someone my age should admit to ;). Just be patient a little, maybe take a small break...once you un-hit that one switch stuff moves along much faster and it gets pretty good. Though, gotta say it, the amount of monsters is still insane and it still takes forever and a week to get from point a to point b. Just so you know :)
