Teaser chest?

At the very beginning, with Xander and party, there is a chest to the left of the fake order member's house. It's on it's own little island and no one will go get it. Is it a teaser? Or is there some way to get it?

tried with everyone in my party but I didn't get it. Not even with Seiman, who offers to get it
