what am I doing wrong? Revived Marilyn I think but I cannot find my way out. Wandered all through the "madness" areas.

There's a bridge where looks like a dead end, walk there.

Don't know if it wasn't mentioned already, but if you have the Astral ring equipped when going over the bridge, than there stands a blood assasin, says something like that Blood assasins don't like that Wendala switched her class, want to keep their prestige and gives her a fairly decent weapon.
