When is the last chance to do side quests?

According to the book, you should finish them when you get to "Ultai for the last time," before going to the Pyramid. But how is that possible? The game doesn't let you go back to Adretana, etc.

Before you go to the airport the last time, Walz will take you back to Adrentana if you talk to him. That's when you can finish your quests.

My missing quests:

find all relics; even lowered to 12, I've only found 9.
thesis quest: I've updated my version yesterday but I don't want to go back. Maybe in my next replay.
rob oghma: I've done that but when I talk to zartzis he only asks me if I want to talk to the Lord.
Give orb to xavier: I haven't done that in LF II, not possible now.
Who killed sarah's parents? unsolved
rogue sharks: I haven't found their hideout
Lost gem: it's a time limited quest. I didn't find it with petula...
Arena wins: is it possible after global wars? not even wendala (lvl 90) can beat linda

I was able to give the orb to Zavier quite late on in the game. Also did the thesis no problem but earlier in the game.

I think you have to do the arena before the global wars, you can level at the Fire Guild but there is a great guide to the arena on here for each character, should be able to beat Linda with Wendala at level 90 but need the right spells and equipment and often pre-emptive.

I second that. As a matter of fact I see no challenge if you have to play by a guide all the time. That's why I didn't want it. In such a huge game it is impossible to remember everything you have to do or places to visit. Sometimes I moved on thinking I could do a quest later and there it goes...like sarah's gem, rogue sharks, sargeant's cup of tea.

The rob oghma quest imo is bugged. You do that but you can't report

Baretta's shop is often forgotten. I know she sells time limited weapons but sometimes in the game it's impossible to go there. I wanted to do the arena fights before global wars and I can't because my charas are too underlvl and I missed an x-drill something.
Leanda needs a spell to beat the arena. But she needs Aaron to win first. What's the point in lvl up a traitor?

I think there should be an alternative to beat the arena since you get half charas near the end of the game: coryool, marylis, claria, kenny, oglong, vanina (urgh)

But that is the point of some of the quests. You must decide if you want to complete them or keep the item for yourself like the orb. There was a quest like this in LF1 with the Reeker Bulb. Do you want to deal with the poison state to complete the quest or just dump the bulb so you don't have to deal with it?

There were two more in LF2. One was killing the girl for the WItch's coven. Do you kill her or take her to Adretana with you. The second was giving the Sword of Ages to the girl in the item shop. Do you sell her the sword or keep it in the hopes of being able to use it later with one of your party members?

It is all a matter of choices. As for the time constrained quests, if you keep multiple save files and find out that a quest is time constrained, it is easier to go back to an earler save than to replay the whole game, IMO.

It is a game, plain and simple and it is meant to be played the way you want to play it. There are ways to beat the arena with even the weakest characters but you have to want to bad enough to level up all of you party members, not just the ones that are easy to fight with.

But from what the arena guide topic says, you can only beat the arena tournament with some charas if you have an especif item from baretta's. Or Leanda only stands a chance if she gets a spell from Aaron's win. I don't think it's a matter of choice or lvl up.

So far nobody has posted how to find the sargent's cup of tea or the catharsis orb' location. And the rob oghma quest is still in my questbook.

The leader at the Undead Guild said you only needed to do 2 of the 3 quests to get you level three. If you chose to do all 3, that was your choice. I didn't steal the flower from the mage guild so the other quest is gone. The flower quest is still in my log.

Every time a major event is done you should go to Baretta's shop. Save at the transportation area before hand so you don't waste the 500G if she doesn't have something new. Then you wouldn't miss the special items you need to win the arena. Again, your choice. And if you didn't want to level up Aaron enough for him to win the tournament so that you could get the spell for Leanda, still your choice. Don't blame the game

I definitely gave Xavier the globe after the airport because I forgot to get the orb of depth and the other one was missing (now in the game) so thought I might as well complete the Xavier quest instead - this time I want to get all the orbs!

My god, this game is so bloody huge!! I don't ever want it to end.
I just wish more of the sidequests were solvable without using the walkthrough. Some of them have "adventure" type cryptic solutions and I don't like to cheat.
