I need help with this one

Hi I went to find Wendala's master and it said I have to check all of the shrine's to find the way to him , but I checked all three and each I just fought the the monster and defeated it and then nothing happened. Am I missing something I'm supposed to do? Thannks everyone for your help.

The words on the shrines are a hint to the entrance. I forget what they say but you have to go back and touch the statue near the entrance.

But good for levelling up - the shrines lead to a monster fight every time.
