Ice Cave Armor

Postby pafpearl » Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:38 pm

I posted on the other thread but I am so frustrated that I decided to post a new topic in the hope that I can get some answers.

I have tara at level 52, she has Titan Body, lightening speed, heroism, armor boost, steel muscles, and giant body. I have equipped her with all the highest strength items I have that she can equip. She goes into the ice cave with strength at 3369. With gravity crush, before the ist fight just after entering she is at 505. After the ist fight (where I do not allow her to lose any HP) she is at 421. Why does her strength drop? Apparently 421 is still not enough to melt that damn ice! And I am on easy mode.

I have been at this for a few days now. I leveled her up with going back and forth to the ice cave, but it is getting so boring. I used 13 luck starfish, loading and reloading so I only saved positive stats gained.

Can anyone help? I don't want to move on until I get the armor, but I am so frustrated that I want to stop playing all together! +::Annoyed

If you created one thread already you should wait for your answer.

I didn't create the other thread, but I did post on it. I'm sorry if I have broken any rules-I was just hoping that making a new thread would call people's attention to it. I thought that maybe the regulars were so used to seeing the old thread that they didn't even open it.

Again, I am sorry. It won't happen again. +

No, it's OK, I didn't think you were being rude. I am just so frustrated and want to continue the game but don't want to give up the armor. I am just hoping that someone can tell me what the minimum numbers I need are so I can decide if it is worth my while to keep grinding to get Tara to a higher level. I mean if I have to go up a few levels I don't mind-but if we are talking over ten levels I may have to say goodbye to the armor! I don't think I can continue to go back and forth in those same caves over and over hundreds of times! +::surrender

I can't really help with specific numbers because my Tarabulla was high 90s when I did this part. In another thread it says the equpment to have on her is

Equipment: Brasandero, In Flames Shield, Djinn-Dahr Helm, Flames of Hellmaneyn, Magma Eye. With that equipment and using a potion to inflict Steel Skin most people have been able to get the armor. I would start with that equipment and keep adding potions etc to try to raise her stats enough to pull the sword.

I just checked and you can also zombify Tarabulla. With the zombification I didn't even have to use the Steel Skin to get the armor but my Tarabulla is a lot higher level.

I understand that but it worked for me. No extra boosts except for what the armor gave her and Zombification and she got the armor. But again my Tarabulla is a lot higher level.

I don't know what kind of stat that she need to pick the shield..
can you tell me, how much Tara 'Strenght'..? and also her 'Resistance'..? (please check her stats in normal state, not it 'gravity crush')
I can pick up the shield, Tara lvl 85, equip: Brasandero, In Flames Shield, Djinn-Dahr Helm, Flames of Hellmaneyn, Magma Eye. I kill tara before pick up the shield, so her stat back to normal (gravity crush make her stat drop)..have u try it? hope it can help u..

Thank you all. I have come to the conclusion that my Tara is just too underleveled to get that armor. I now have to make the decision whether I grind for hours in the orb caves to level her up or give up the armor and move on.

I was able to get her resistance around 3000 and that wasn't enough. I tried the exhaustion trick but I had already downloaded the latest version and from what I read here the exhaustion trick was actually a bug and Indi fixed it. My Tara just says she is too exhausted to get it when I try.

Thanks again all-I appreciate the help! +::heart
