missing equipment on import

I seem to be missing equipment for my characters that i had upon saving my LFII file.
once i get thru chapter 9 and get to 10 i don't have the equipment that was last on my characters.
specifically i am mising the gaes ancient horn that i equipped on fierce, and the tiki-tikoo suit for Rosa Chantral leaves headgear for Herasia
i havent' double-checked everything yet
These items do not appear in my inventory.
Also i seem to have equipment that i didn't have. for instance Herasia is wearing something called Head gear?!

Does this mean i need to re-download the game.

i tried re-finishing LFII and importing a different save file and redoing chapter 9 with the same result.
i really don't want to have to play Chap 9 again.

i downloaded the october 8th release - then replayed the end of chapter 9 from my save file.
and voila! the equipment was back. thank goodness.
