I've exited the palace, and I have Djarma in my party, but I don't see the map to the Island of Narmaru in my items. Do I have to come back here later??

You should have this map as soon as Djarma joins the party. It might be worth double-checking the inventory because not all the maps are on the same page, and so it's very easy to overlook it.
