I have gone through the pyramids 3 times and hit the swithches in the right order following the map and still can't open the main pyramid. Says it is still locked. Don't hear any rumbleing letting me know it opened either. Help

Ack, no. I love to wake up in the morning and find out I've messed something up yesterday night. Everyone:
Don't use the skip feature on the plate cleaning minigame for the time being, or I'll have to manually fix your savegames (if you already did and you don't have a savegame from directly before the minigame anymore, send me your savegames, and I'll fix them). There will be a hotfix and a new patch for this later tonight...

The game remembers what state you left the switches in even after you exit and re-enter the pyramid. For the switches to work, they all have to be in the "off" position, then they must be switched to the "on" position in the correct order. The switches are on when they look like they're pressed in (ie, when the left and upper borders are black). Make one pass through the pyramids and make sure all the switches are off, then make another pass and turn them all on in the correct order.

Will installing this patch cause problems with the old patch for the diving games?

No, the new patch will automatically detect whether you have the diving patch installed - with the new patch, you'll find an option in the "options" menu to disable underwater animations. This does exactly what the old patch did, but now you can turn it on and off.

OH NO!! don't know what happened, but as I was doing the box game in the lava cave to get the rope a "script error" occured and now I can't get to where I saved and even tryed to start from the beginning but when I went to even save that game and "script error" came up again and won't let me in. What do I do now??? and I LOVE this game.. +::cry

and by the way thanks for the advise on the pyramids. Finally got into get the mask +::Thumbup

I have now fixed the issue with not being able to talk to Ben after skipping the plate minigame - if you intend to skip that minigame, download the patch again and reinstall it. The download link is http://defaultgames.de/data/totg_patch_11.exe

nicholas: Sounds like your savegame got corrupted for some reason. Can you send me the save file? I can have a look at it, although I can't promise you it's still fixable. Do you still have the autosave file from the cave entrance? What happens when you use that and try to go to the crate riddle cave?

I can't even get into my saved files. I uninstalled it and downloaded it again and the new version had "load game" but when I tryed to open it the same error came up even after downloading it again. "script window save file line 38 argument occured- dump format error (0x6)"[/u] I tryed a couple of my other rpg to make sure they were ok, and they all work fine. Just can't get this one to work.

The problem isn't with the game but with the one corrupted savegame file, so reinstalling won't change things. Do you still know which savegame (number 1-4) was the one where things went wrong? If so, send that one to me so I can have a look at it, then delete it from your savegame folder - then you should be able to continue playing. If you don't know which savegame it is I guess the only option is to rename them one by one and to check after each rename if you can get back into the game - as soon as it works, you know that the last one you renamed is the corrupted one, so that's the one to send to me.

As I said, I can't promise yet that I'll be able to fix the corrupted file, but I will certainly have a look.

Hi, Sven,
The patch that would successfully allow me to bypass the plate washing (the only mini game I don't seem to be able to work my way past) does not recognize my game version because I bought the Gotterdammerung version a few weeks ago. Can you help me, or do I still have to fight with the plates? Thanks for your help.

If you've downloaded the Götterdämmerung version, you'll need the following patch: http://defaultgames.de/data/gd_patch_11.exe - the other one will not work for your version of the game.

Thanks so much for bailing me out, but with this patch as soon as I initiate the skip, my game freezes. I love your game. You don't have to worry about the patch for me now because after many hours of trying, I finally managed to finish the plate washing without the skip function. Thanks.
