Vordenstople Palace Exit

Postby jincyk » Sat Aug 22, 2020 2:53 pm

I've just defeated Sevalla and Vol Sirchen. The Sin Render hasn't appeared, even though I activated all the crystals. I'd like to leave the palace to run some errands (like the Law of Allos, etc.) before the final fight, but I can't figure out how to leave--some doors are blocked because of the switches. Advice?

(This is a terrific game.)

Awesome, I'm glad you liked it :)

Sin Render should be here - it's just hiding.

As for the way out, depending on how much you moved the Switches around, I found my way out by doing:
Green Switch: Right
Go to the Red Switch (Through Room 174 over to Room 175).
Red Switch: Right
Then go to Map 173.

Hey blumyst,
No worries, you can do the optional quest in Hovia as soon as you get to Hovia or any time after. You can come back to do it at any point in the game.
All the numbers mentioned for this optional quest are referring to Map #17 (Hovia). Grey 1 is Hovia Manor. You can't get into this place yet, it happens later in the game. Grey 2 is the area that will be unlocked by finishing the optional quest. (The grey numbers on the guide mean it's blocked by something. Either a skill or game progress or something like that).
So, for example, the first bullet point is talking about house #5 on the Hovia map (Map #17). If you go in that house, there's a kid there that will want the Doll. You can trade it to him to get the Painting and then you continue on the trades.
I hope this helps

Hi Matt, just finished the game. I really enjoyed it and the characters very much. My play time was around 53 hours and my final team was Mathias, Krantz, Ange and Chrysal. I also liked Garreth, Vol Baider and Steven. I only dropped Garreth towards the end as he'd keep getting laid out. +::YAY

That's awesome :D I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I agree Garreth gets pretty weak in terms of survivability, but I usually try to fit him in anyway. It might not be the right choice, but I like his damage output. +::wizard

Boulder requires 6 Liberator Orbs. From your last post, I think you have the guide, and if so, they are marked on the maps as L. Some nearby ones are: The tombstone in the center of Hovia; you get one from the man in one of the shacks of Hovia for finding the herbs (I think you have that one); there's one in a pot in the Hovia Prison near where you find Mary in the cell; you get 2 from entering the town of Crescho (across the water by ferry); and at the Crescho Ruins, there's one in a broken box outside.

Hope that helps :)

Grey #2 for the Hovia optional quest? If so:

Grey #2 is the hole in the ground in this picture. You have to get the guard a 1st Edition Vol Sirchen Power Doll. To do that you have to trade to the people mentioned in the guide. The kid in the house, the guy in shack #2, the priest in the shop (#6) and then trade the Miracle Seeds to the woman in the secluded house (Map #14).
The guard you have to trade with is this guy. You have to talk with him a few times and he'll mention the doll.

Hmm, 28 hours, perhaps I should update the game length in the description. I'm glad you liked it :) I think if I do another game I should make a range of difficulties that affect the puzzles that way it's not so hard. I'm happy you liked the story. It's what I cared about most when making the game :) It would be a while before another game would be ready. I have ideas for two more games, but making a new game will take me a while.
