DON'T MESS WITH YOUR CONFIGSAVE file!

So open your fully downloaded game as usual. Make a save in the save 1 slot.

Close the game.

Go into your game folders. www. --> saves

you'll see save 1

delete save 1,

replace it with the save 1 from your demo folder.

Open game---> load save 1 (it will still only look like duncan) don't worry it will load as your save from the demo

HOrizon (the boss) up at the NOrth end of the lair

Mezirah your bonus character is at the very southern part. Just follow the lair to the bottom.

YOu'll find her laying there. Make sure you have a phoenix down to get her up.

That let's you know there's nothing left to do.
Did you do the clowns quest with alcohol?
You'll probably need to head south past gnoll burrow to get all the ingredients and then come back to complete it.

Why does it take soooooooo long to save and reload? It is taking over 10 mins to do either, normally games load to my desktop, and reload FAST, but, not this one, GRRRR.

What I am trying to say is:- when I close the game it asks if I want to "save", and when I do it updates EVERYTHING, not just the saves. Then when I want to play again, I have to extract EVERYTHING again, is there a way to extract to my desktop so it just does the save updates, and loads automatic when I want to play? If not then I regret paying for this game, which I do like.

Now I am REALLY getting annoyed, I am playing with two new characters Rembrandt and the queen, I have beaten all in the castle, and got a boat, from there I have travelled to the only place I can see that I can go, and the enemies are MUCH harder, all of a sudden, nevertheless I made to an island where I had to beat 3 sets of enemies, the last one tells me I have to go through some island of mountains to the east. There is only one island with mountains and nothing happens when I go there. Am I doing something wrong? And have I gone to the wrong places since the castle? I am getting to the point I am not impressed now.

take your boat to the small island to the east of where they told you ... get off your boat- walk on the island to the very tip.

you'll hear a switch flip. now you have access to the next cavern.

You'll find rings and amulets of the whale soon which will be very beneficial to your survival .

The next town you find you'll have an extra character which makes things a lot easier.

The remrandt/queen scenes are quite challenging and it encourages you to level a bit. Almost like the start of the game ( well since they're low level again)

Hopefully we can get you impressed again lol.

Ok i will persevere, I have foud where I have to go for now. You did not answer if there is a way to extract without having to take 10/15 minutes to update or load.

I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this problem

I believe WHERE you save the game can effect it? have you moved the entire folder to your desktop and given that a try? Experimenting a little is all I can suggest currently until I can find out more.

I've ran it from my desktop and never had to extract the game again or mess with saves as they don't vanish on me.

Hopefully we can feedback from others on this particular issue.

First you extract the game and all to your desktop to be able to play it and it ususally shows a folder.
I go open the folder to click on game. I follow that to the right side it says game application so I know
its the right one. It wont work if I take it of the folder and click on the icon but thats ok for me

I think what they were doing is just unzipping, then going in the file and playing/saving there

So it was making them redo it every single time... that makes sense.

You right click the zipped folder, then extract it somewhere else ( make new folder 7 or something like that on your desktop)

extract it INTO THAT FOLDER.

now you don't have to load it /unzip it every time.

I know unzipping is a new thing for some people- it's different and can be obnoxious the first couple of times

THis is my first game on the site so I didn't know what kind of issues we would run into but i'm thankful that the community has been so helpful!
