vans8686, sweet! Glad it fixed the problem!

titaness... kinda :) It's the graphics card on the netbook causing the problem, not specifically the processor. ATI (company that makes graphics cards, like Nvidia) graphic drivers are weird and do that in full screen with titles that use Direct X blah blah blah. Either way, it means older computers with ATI cards will work fine, but newer ones won't. The engine running Aveyond and other games are strangely the opposite, they will flicker on older ATI cards, but be fine on new cards. It's enough to make me cry at night :(

But I'm happy you got it working fine on your other laptop :)

MONCHA5, to get to Invyl, you need to do six things:

One, talk to the scholar in Soneros (he tells you that you need to go to Invyl).

Two, check the sign near the dock in Queous (it says the Ferry is out).

Three, talk to the bartender in the pub in Queous (he tells you Chupple is on vacation in Teddy Bear Oasis).

Four, talk to Chupple's daughter in Teddy Bear Oasis (she tells you Chupple has been abducted by Werewolves).

Five, go to Werewolves cave and rescue Chupple.

Six, return to Queous and talk to Chupple at the docks.

I hope that helps :)

And if anyone needs a mini-walkthrough for Episode II, here is a really eclectic one pieced together from various sources:

From the beginning, you're on the Soneros part of the continent. Eventually, you realize you need to head north to the Invyl part of the continent. To get to Invyl, you need to do six things:

One, talk to the scholar in Soneros (he tells you that you need to go to Invyl). Two, check the sign near the dock in Queous (it says the Ferry is out). Three, talk to the bartender in the pub in Queous (he tells you Chupple is on vacation in Teddy Bear Oasis). Four, talk to Chupple's daughter in Teddy Bear Oasis (she tells you Chupple has been abducted by Werewolves). Five, go to Werewolves cave and rescue Chupple. Six, return to Queous and talk to Chupple at the docks.

Once in Invyl, you'll talk with the Guildmaster and lots of story-telling will happen. He says go into his basement, er Catacombs and get the Ice Scepter yourself. Opening the doors down there can be a bit confusing, but this should clear it up: The catacombs are laid out in a rectangle like formation with a room on the bottom left, bottom right, top left and top right. You can enter the rooms on the top left and top right but there isn't much to do in there except look at coffins, at first. If you try opening the door on the bottom left, you will see a message which displays you need to get the key of the Great Leader and the Great Smither.

Once you have seen that message, visit the room on the top left and check the signs next to the coffins in each room, when you see the sign that says 'he was known for his great leading skills', then check inside that coffin and you will get the Leader Key. Head into the top right room as well and do the same to get the Smither Key.

Once you have both Keys head back to the room on the bottom left and it shall unlock for you. Inside of that room, check all of the bookshelves and you shall find the Master Key which should open up the room in the lower right side. Once in there, make good use of the healing point in the bottom right corner of the room and save your game, as you'll be taking on a big boss fight soon :)

Done with those catacombs and you talk with the GuildMaster being charged, Duncan goes for hot chocolate, Cyper leaves the party and Chev joins the party. You have a chance to buy new armor from the armor shop, stock up on items (ethers especially) and then head out of the town. Head straight down from Invyl until you see the wooden sign, from there head a bit right and follow the trees up into the Mevallus Forest. In there, simply work your way towards the middle of the forest, and then click on the center stone looking thing, cutscenes and a boss will follow. Monsters are pretty easy to fight and avoid.

Mevallus Forest is painfully straightfoward, but it should be mentioned that the Armor shop in Invyl has been restocked with new equipment and now *is* a good time to buy some new stuff if you can afford it (if not now, then definitely after Mevallus).

Done? Ice Scepter all charged up? Does Chev have ani skills yet? Can Sakyra use Heal II yet? If not, they will soon ;) Time to head to the Nedge Plains!

Nedge Plains are on the far West of the Invyl continent. So leave the forest, head up (maybe stop in Invyl and stock up on 10-15 ethers, upgrade your armor if you have the gold), then head way Left/West until you see a bunch of rocks/mountains surrounding a path, head in there, you'll see a question mark pop up, and you'll go inside. Once inside, you will receive messages from the Scepter on which direction to go on each screen ('The scepter says head up), follow the directions exactly as they say (on each screen) and it should lead you to the boss monster.

The monsters in this area are *tough* so keep that in mind.

Be uber careful when you get to the boss screen between clicking on the healing oasis sparkly thing (which heals your HP/MP) and clicking on the sparkling flower (which will initiate the boss fight)!

Finished up Nedge Plains? Head back to Invyl Inn and get some hot chocolate (yes, really... talk to the Inn Keeper and ask for it). Catch up on old times, realize you need to see some Dwarves and head to Melonchi!

To get to Melonchi, simply head back to Soneros (where you started the game). Talk to the Captain of the Ship in the Pub of Soneros, then talk to the Sailor on the Docks. Once in Melonchi, speak with the Funny looking Dwarf at the top center of the room. He'll let you play in the Minecart Mesas.

The Minecart area is sasy enough if you don't mind battling monsters a lot :)

Puzzle is straightforward: First, you flip the switch on the faaaar left of the tracks at the top (I think it's green?) and then there is another one on the furthest right of the tracks down at the bottom (down past the big walkable area with doors and such, I think it's not-green?). After you flip those two switches, there is another funky looking switch on the wall in the middle of the walkable area, next to a sign (which I'm sure it blue. The switch, not the sign. Okay, the sign is a grey tablet which was carved by Dwarves with special tools hundreds of years ago!) *cough* Once you flip that, it will open the door below.

Down in that area, there are three colored buttons at the end of tracks, if you simply push the minecarts (by hitting the enter/space key), it will send the minecarts down the tracks and on top of the buttons (you'll hear a neat metal-ish ca-chunk sound), then walk back up and into the upper-right corner of the room, the door to the big boss will be unlocked. Inside that room, there is a nice little oasis which will replenish your HP/MP. You'll want to save your game before checking out that plant. Really. The boss is quite mean ;)

And that should do it...

Let me know if there are any errors in there or if I missed something and I'll fix it up.

D-Squall, I'm happy you're enjoying it. There are two more Episodes planned for Arvale, Treasure of Memories and they only get better from here :)

bodeia, now that you mention it... I forgot to put the sidequest with the scholar in Queous (to bring him the book from the archives in Invyl) and bring the guy in Teddy Bear Oasis the drink from Soneros. Totally optional, but a quick way to get money and experience :)

As for your Wheelbarrow withdrawal symptoms... would telling you that I already implemented mouse control in the third Episode help? (now you can just click on the wheelbarrows instead of having to walk all the way over to them :) ) A little? How about the brand-spanking new menu system I've implemented? Or maybe the larger maps and better full-screen resolution (no more stretching or black borders)? A better item menu which sorts your items by type (okay, sounds boring, but totally makes sense when you see it)? In any case, it's coming along ;)
