Before Jack I liked Marine just fine. But the brat is getting too attached, it seems.

She's just jumping to conclusions.
Don't try to understand girls, because I don't think we really understand ourselves.

That's their own fault.

They can't see past their own noses to see what a great guy Jack would be if they would just let him. Well, yes, he can be obnoxious, but most guys are.
Obviously you did not gift any of the girls with a gift for reading characters. Fortunately, I can do that, and I saw where Jack was heading: INTO BEING THE BEST AND CUTEST GUY EVER!!!!!
He seems a little insecure. I don't think he is a jerk, so why would he be flirting if he wasn't a bit insecure? If he was really confident that girls would like him, he most likely wouldn't be flirting with almost every single one he sees. He has a good heart, like most of the other warriors. There were several moments where you really could see that.
I think he is just really silly and everyone else thinks he is stupid. I haven't really seen anything done by Jack that would make him stupid.

I'm biased. But it is still true!!!
