Is there a way to get to the giant spider in the rift or is it just for show?

If you're talking about the Firth of Fourth, the only way to attract the spider is by using the Mosquito Cream that you can buy in Tabutu.

No, there's that huge spider hanging around somewhere in the Rift. I don't think it's of any use and I also didn't find a way to her.
