it seems I forgot to promote James in 3. Is there any way I can promote him now in 4?
I have already progressed quite a bit in 4, I really would not want to go back to 3, promote James and Import again to start the whole game anew.

if you wait until 5 ... you get at the ending of 4 an item that you can promote James to something new called Ghost Face .... so you can also wait until Millennium 5
