LOL OK!! You asked for it!

Ok, Marine. She's the heroine, so she gets first pick. For the longest time I saw her with Benoit, but actually, they're like Harry and Hermione - they work well together, bicker at times, but really are more like brother and sister. I'm sure they will wish each other well whoever they end up with. I can't see her with anyone else in the party, really. I think after all of this she's kinda done with adventure and she wouldn't want to go and live in a swamp or on top of a cliff or whatever. Also, she is smart and a good leader, and with a few more years of growing up and maturing, she would make a great queen, or regent, or whatever it is called in the Millennium world. I think she will end up being a very strong, confident and fair ruler.

Enter Lord Dragon. We've seen him in quite a bad light for a long time. But especially in this game I think his true colors have begun to shine through. He's from a completely different world than Marine and was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He's never known anything else than that he is powerful and people will listen to him. He's also been loyal to the traditions of Myst, however warped they were, as that is what he was raised to do. I'm sure he loves his city and his country very much. But I think Marine's quest has opened his eyes to what is going on outside of the city and he is coming around to her view of things. I think that he just had a very specific world view enforced on him while he was growing up and it has taken him until now to find there is more out there. I would like to think he quite admires Marine as she is showing him that you don't have to be rich and part of a powerful family to be strong, smart and fair. I think he and Marine would have no problem meeting in the middle and together they would bring the whole country to prosperity - both city and countryside. I think they could have a great love affair born out of mutual respect and admiration.

Oh, and of course he's really kinda gorgeous, don't you think? The heroine just has to end up with the gorgeous guy. It's the rules!

Benoit has been a bit of a wimp for most of his life, but this big journey with Marine has toughened him up and opened his eyes. I don't think he could just go back to Green Grass after this and settle down to the quiet life. I also don't think he would be satisfied following Marine to the city. He needs to see more of the world and have more adventures! But not on his own. Karine is a strong woman with a free spirit and a good heart. She will force him to constantly test his boundaries and not allow him to wimp out. But she's not as scary as Jez - Jez would just make him do a runner! I can see Benoit and Karine travel the world together and have lots of adventures, great and small, until they're both old and grey. Maybe they'll travel with Bokden at times, that would be fun. Cuz really, Bokden ain't gonna settle down, is he

I have no big story for Abu and Salome, but I think they could be happy. They're both beautiful children of nature and when this is all over they would happily go back to the quiet life being guardians of nature. Let's just hope they'll be able to find a swamp by the ocean...

Now, Jez and James. I think that's just a match made in heaven! Jez needs to be able to boss someone around. She wears the pants! I also think she's a bit of a pretend-adventurer. I think she would be more than happy living in a quiet village somewhere, telling everyone who wants to know - and probably everyone who doesn't want to know, too - about her life as an adventurer. And with each telling her heroic deeds will get bigger. I think James really needs to be bossed around. He wouldn't last two seconds on his own, whatever he will do next. Jez will tell him what to do next, in no uncertain terms. And I don't think James is really smart enough to realize that she's bossing him around! He'll just be happy that such a strong, beatiful woman as consented to live with him. I wouldn't want to go to dinner at their place (WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT WEARING THAT STUPID HAT IN THE HOUSE!!!), but I think they're perfect for each other.

Given the fantastic reading you provided, and to be fair, that was also quite smart theories, YES, all the ones you haven't talked already lol Hirado, Jack, Bokden... Merline... Borgon... Suzuki xD

oh dear, now I wish I hadn't said that as I don't really have any big theories on the rest of them...

Jack - I don't know Jack as well as James, but he seems more sensible. In fact, I think that once James is nicely settled with Jez, Jack will come into his own a bit more. There aren't enough girls in the game to pair the guys up with! Anyway, Jack seems like a good guy to me. He will probably find a nice girl, get married and open a shop somewhere... or an inn. Maybe he'll be an inn keeper! That's it. He will open a nice, cosy inn in the country and PiuPiu will live with him and entertain the guests.

Bokden - is never going to change. After all of this it'll be "nice knowing ya, bye!" and *poof* he'll be gone again. He'll pop up from time to time, of course. Marine will go outside to have her breakfast on the balcony of her great mansion one day and there he'll be, on her balcony, eating an apple from one of her trees, saying "was in the neighbourhood, thought I'd say hi. So - Hi!" and he'll jump over the edge of the balcony and he'll be gone again. Like I said in my previous post, he'll probably join Benoit and Karine on the odd adventure, for old times sake.

Merline - now, Merline really got the adventure bug. She will be an adventurer come what may, and well before mom and dad are happy about it. She will be begging Karine and Benoit to take her along, and maybe they will, on less dangerous ones. Actually, if the age difference allows it, she and Bokden would make a great match, in a few years. If she's about 11 and Bokden about 17 right now, that could work, right? Oh, I suddenly have a cool new theory. I think Merline is totally besotted with Bokden and will move heaven and earth to find him (she's a determined little thing). He'll disappear for a few years and then one day, when Merline is about 17, they will meet again and she will be very pretty and independent and adventurous and just the kind of girl for him. And then they'll BOTH be jumping off Marine's balcony. I think this is my favourite theory right now!

Borgon - I don't care what happens to him. After Marine and Dragon are victorious and married, Dragon will see Borgon for what he really is and throw him in a dungeon. Then he and Marine will have a little domestic quibble about it and she will convince Dragon to release him from the dungeon but make him do manual labour. Like, potato farming in Green Grass. That would be hilarious, Borgon digging potatoes!

Hirado - als will not change. He will find a nice cave he can call home and meditate and think about the meaning of life. (No one tell him it is 42!)

The newbies from MM4 are just too new for me, sorry! Can't tell you much about Wolfgang or Bear. Suzuki, I think, will go and live near or even with Marine and Dragon in Myst and talk endlessly about how he was really the one who helped Marine win the battle, and people will love him and indulge him and he will feel like a hero for the final years of his life. I do hope Clarissa will be returned to her old self and be able to return to her family in Green Grass.

So, to sum it all up: MERLINE IS THE NEW BOKDEN!

I especially liked the Marine + LD and Karine + Benoit parts.

Bokden is still quite a mystery, though. Btw, sometimes I try to imagine what star signs to assign to the MM characters (if they were real people) and I'm pretty sure that Bokden would be Aquarius. He's absolutely unpredictable.

Benoit is Marines cousin if I recall correctly. So a pairing of them would not happen.

As for Bodken, he is not what I expected at all. And, I can see he and Marine getting together. Love can settle a man, or woman down. But will they?? I can see him with Karine too.

I think that there's more to Jack than he wants people to know. Jez is a very unpleasant type of person. Not trustworthy, and very critical. She needs someone who can tell her off and not care what she says. She could change if she is young enough. But....again, only Indy knows.
I can see Salome with James. If she wants to stay human. There are more adventures ahead that could mature and change these young people a lot yet.
