Yes, and the screenshots in the newsletter look very promising too!
OH - one very important question ..... Visible or invisible encounters?

Invisible with either 40 steps minimum (not average) between each (RPG Mode) or 50 (Casual Mode).
Not 2-3 steps 1 fight with me! +::wizard

the game looks awesome, and same for me, i do like invisible better, especially such advanced version of it that actually lets you walk for many steps before the next encounter. 8)

Oh well ......
But okay, at least I'll not stumble over enemies all the time.

More professional, I don't know, but an epic and exciting adventure, it totally is.
I haven't got that many big, epic stand-alone games, I think so far 3 Stars and Asguaard are the two that fit best this description, and I have hopes TBOL becomes the third one. :)

That's the whole point. I don't think visible enemies is all so superior to invisible, but I find between caught after 2 steps an annoyance, even if it happens only at isolated times.
Pick Casual and you'll have 50 steps as a MINIMUM in between each fight, that's basically fighting less often than with visible monsters xD

My sister likes visible enemies best. But I'm not so sure I do.... it gets really annoying watching my sister do complicated maneuvers just to get around an enemy. She usually spends more time avoiding them than she would fighting them!

I don't mind invisible enemies, but they are sometimes inconvenient when you just care about the storyline the first time you are playing... +::biggrin

did you two play parts 3 and 4 in different modes? :)

it's not so much the case with a 50 steps barrier between them lol if the enemies never catch you it's no longer a game but a movie about people walking around in big areas xD

I don't mind fighting enemies. But I prefer to clear an area and then explore the area in peace.
Yet it also depends on how tough the monsters are.
In Sweet Lily Dreams for example I can see the monsters, but they are so tough that fighting is becoming really annoying and for me it takes away a lot of the fun, no matter how good the rest of the game is.

xD When we played MM4, we just wanted to get to the next part of the story as fast as we could. And so I still fought enemies, just not as many as usual. We'll be replaying it, of course, so that I can get Jack leveled up more.
+::biggrin
And the enemies caught us plenty of times. +::biggrin

I don't remember... I don't think we played in different modes, though.

I actually enjoy fighting monsters, and I can truthfully say I am the best in our family at it. +::biggrin xD
