This is really a fun game!
But....... I restarted twice already and now I got Stardust before the wind elemental Is there really no other way? Pllleazzzzzze?!?!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but as far as I can see you either get the wind elemental before Stardust or you lose her.

Rather than re-start, haven't you got an earlier save you can go back to and pick it up from there?

Yes, of course you can finish it without. I didn't use it all that much, I found some of the spirits that Susanna gets on levelling up much more useful. It just means that you can't get and complete quest #9
