i guess its the only thing i missed in this area..how can i make the lady that guards the ladder go away?

I was always hoping for that elf girl to join - since she has a face I thought she would. With her I was convinced I could have entered. But Indy advertised 9 playable characters, so unless that's a trick again she obviously can't join.

haha! i was hoping she could join the hunt cassioppeia and let me explore upstairs..is there a secret or a teaser..again only someone who got the guide may know..
