The recruits from M2 and M3: nobody seems to take them seriously as fighters. Are they destined to lose most of their matches, or are we being set up for some surprises?
Speaking of predestined matches, are the outcomes already fixed? If a player loses when she should have won, does the Sage tell us we need to try harder?

Borgon's opinion doesn't make authority on the matter. If the guys from MM2/3 make good progress with the Bear's teaching, they may be able to pull some upsets. Nothing guarantees the MM1/4 fighters will fare well either.

Speaking of predestined matches, are the outcomes already fixed? If a player loses when she should have won, does the Sage tell us we need to try harder?

Nope. You just "give" 1 pt to Mystrock.

I've got to agree with D-Squall again. I think the ones who do the best will be Hirado, Karine and Benoit. I'm also thinking Abu is going to kick some serious Mystrock butt. As for the rest of them, including my boyz +::heart

IF the showdown occurs as expected, then all 13 warriors of Marine have to fight against all 13 of Dragon, in a pre-determined order.

Yes, there are 4 different endings depending how many matches you win.

nancyred has a point, Jack and James doesn't look much of fighters, only with weapons (assumed by themselves in MM4). Jezabel was weak in MM2 even with her whip (the monkeys knocked her out lots of times with me). But, from all the warriors of MM2 and 3, Abu looks very powerful and determinated to help Marine, so he can also be on the list of the reliable.

And we're all forgeting a important piece in this topic, MARINE. She's also a peasant, but after all she's been through in all Millenniums were a rough training for me, mentally and physically and she's the leader of her goverment.

Unfortunately, though, the arena fights are all going to be one-on-one. Right? Will we still have a full party of warriors available in between rounds?

Well, it won't be one marathon battle session, will it? I thought it would be 13 rounds, with a break in between each one to let the participants heal or rest or whatever.
