But LF was three games. And one of the things that made it so attractive was being able to search for the best weapon for each contestant. Here we'll only fight with bare hands. And I'm not sure, but isn't magic forbidden as well?

Magic is forbidden but you can develop Martial Arts skills. And you will probably be able to use an accessory too (not sure yet though).

Well you probably noticed it already... take Salomé, she has some. Or obviously Benoit... his Hand skills are all non-magic.

Well, I'll just wait and see! I'm pretty sure there will be surprises and unexpected twists!

It's been so long since I played MM, I really don't remember any of the skills. Most of them I didn't even use. I prefer attacking with the best combination of weapons. I always think if I'm using magic I'll run out of magic points quickly (SP in MM, right?). So I'd rather try without to save my magic for something bigger that crosses my way, and mostly it works very well.

Some skills don't use magic, they are available a certain amount of time until you rest.

May I take a guess on that lady of the newsletter? Is Marine's mom? After she cured her deformation of that Bush she was looking for?

I don't know, maybe there is a split party in MM5. Between the people who's training for the showdown and others who isn't in the tournament who's helping Marine's mom to find the cure like Piu-Piu, Gravitron, Merline... and Norman could help, he's not playable, but he's a scientist after all.
