A new article I wrote for Gamezebo within the framework of the development of Millennium 5, and that might be of interest to some here. This time as the title says it is about interactivity and how to make your world feel alive.
Enjoy! :)

Just read and it was great, your interactions with characters, npcs and etc... was on since the Laxius Power games, one of the main factors that I fell in love for the series. And now your skills improved, look at The Book of Legends. Every review says good things about graphics, stories, music... but what they are most pleased to say is how great was the interaction between the characters. And that little thing you said about Millennium 5 in the end got me even more excited. I really can't wait for the finale of this series. Keep doing this great job Indy. :)

So nice to see how the work gets profound, gives a human touch learning on personalities according to who's in the party when we talk to someone in the game :)

Thanks for the feedback. Having a game that "responses" according to who is present and/or what has happened is a key element of my game making. :)

Great dev diary. Really brings home how much is involved in making games like yours. You're right - interactivity is one of the key elements. How I wish more games had the amount that yours have.

Funny dialogues and comments are the proverbial "spice" of each game. And these have been strong points of Indi's games since the very first LP - I still remember some of the jokes.
Btw, sometimes I'm missing the more "naughty" humor of LP series, I guess that we could consider it a "victim" of going commercial, so the games can no longer contain "inappropriate" content...

The real reason to blame this on is Steam's position with those games.
Steam has more hardcore gamers that wouldn't mind that type of humor. But it's also the one portal that has the most obscure inclusion policy.

I think what you described in this Developer's Diary entry is one of the things that makes your games so interesting and makes me want to explore them. +::Thumbup Great article! I really looking forward to experiencing the big event you were talking about for MM5! Looking forward to March or April when it will hopefully be released! +::YAY

This is what sets your games apart from others. Explicit detailing and thinking outside the square. pity other devs don't take note and read reviews from their buyers and suggestions from other devs like yourself. great work!!_:: +::Thumbup
