Hi!

I'm having a problem with the game shutting down. Always at the same place it says RGSS is not responding. It happens on my way to Rillia, right when I get to the bridge where the tribal music is going. I get to the bridge and then it sometimes lets me do the talking scene about being eaten, sometimes not. I've tried 5 times and it shuts down each time. I restarted my computer and tried again and it still did it. Any ideas what I can do to fix it, otherwise I can't continue on.

what's your OS?

Have you anything else running at the same time?
Mine closes down on me if something else starts - like my virus checker or something.

If not then Indy should be around soon and he might have better ideas

Windows Vista, and no nothing else is running at the same time.

Can you send me your savefile so that I look if I can replicate what's happening?

savefiles are there:

C:\Users\[admin name]\AppData\Roaming\3Stars

The game actually closes when the antivirus opens...

Is it an anti-virus programme actually running a scan on the computer while you try and play? If so that might create lag and in which case the game does close. If you mean the anti-virus is not trusting the programme that is a different matter.

Yes in order to raise chances that nothing annoying happens, always play 3 Stars (or any game for that matter) with no other program running in the background.

Noooo....I don`t have the game yet. It was just strange to hear...

I understand but I`ve never seen such thing in other games...

Oh, I did. When I had Norton, it always decided to pop up at anoying times and if I had games working, they would sometimes crash, even if the warning was not related to them. Annoying really. Sims 2 was the one that suffered a lot, if I recal correctly, or at least the one that made me more upset because it took me around 10 minutes to start the damned game each time.

It does happen for most games hence why you'll always read the recommendation to switch off programs running in the background when playing a game.

I get the RGSS stops working when I try to open the game, so I haven't had the chance to try the game. I tried to shut off my anti virus software and uninstall the game and reinstalled and this did not work.

My OS is Windows Vista.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

This game works fine on my vista computer...does the game play at all or is it immediate closure before title screen or anything?

How much RAM do you have?
Have you restarted the comp to see if it's still happening?

The game doesn't load at all. I can't even open it. It is strange cause all my other games play fine. Indinera has tried to help me but I guess I am cursed cause I can't even get the other game that Indinera made to work either.

I've tried everything, it makes me sad in a way because I was hoping to get a new fun game to play. I read all the posts about the games and it sounds like something I would enjoy.
