I got through the wasteland and was moving from on screen to another and the screen told me i was dead. I wasn't fighting just moving to the next screen. Did I miss something? Annoyed I went through all of that just to end up dead and not from a fight.

My guess is that you didn't have the Wasteland Rings equipped. You're told that you must have them. If you don't (I know, I experimented to find out), your HP drops rapidly and yes, you die.

thanks but i had the rings on. I was at the end of the wasteland and had killed several of the big bosses. do the rings have a time limit?

No they don't have any sort of limit.

Can you remember exactly where you were i.e. which map you were moving from, and what you did immediately before this happened? There is nothing there that can kill you, no hidden events or anything other than the Wasteland Sickness. And just to be doubly sure - you didn't take the rings off for any reason?

Could you have a look at your last save file and check status page for each party member to see if anything look out of the ordinary?
