I'm feeling rather stupid. I'm lost on this map I can't find how to get to the center. TIA

If you are talking about the last map, you can walk through the hedge

I'm not sure which hedge to walk through. I took a screenshot. I don't know how to post it here.

I found the hedge. Got to the tree thought it was the end, but nope! I suck.

nope not the end but you found the relic there. Glad you made it.

To get to the end, you have to work your way back to the area where you can explore in 4 different directions, and then back one more map (I think it's only one) and head to the stairs on the right hand edge.
