Finished with the Laxius party
Posted: Sat Nov 03, 2018 5:28 pmI have finished playing Random and his party. There are still three more scenarios waiting, but I thought like like sharing some experience about the game:
1. First, it really is Laxius! Probably even more than the LF series! All the (sometimes very dark) humor, dialogues and creepy dungeons felt like something I loved about the original Laxius Power. Obviously, the game design is far more advanced, but the spirit is the same. Thus this is also a warning for people who do not enjoy this kind of settings - this really isn't anything like Milennium series...
However, personally I must say - even after playing all the amazing games from Indi - the Laxius world is still the best.
2. I played on the Difficult mode, and with Random's party it was relatively easy. There are many awesome weapons, skills and boosts. Only Laxius Force and 3 Stars of Destiny can compete. But battle system in FoH is obviously more advanced, and has even more surprises up to its sleeves. I loved the levelling of skills and choices between different boosts after completing certain number of kills etc. I hope the LS will use some parts from this...
3. I also loved the idea of playing different scenarios and seeing the story from different angles thanks to this. it kinda reminds some parts of Laxius Force (visiting the same places with different parties) and it is very well polished and designed.
P.s. My playing time (for this one scenario) was something like 4 hours. Of an in-game time, i.e. a bit more in reality.
