Manticores on St Mountain for Q33

Are there a limited number of Manticores on St Mountain? I have been all over it including the bottom entry screen and those damn Pashas and Slime regenerate, but not a Manticore in sight now that I killed only one of them after getting the quest. Exiting and reentering the screen didn't help. I think they are now an extinct species because of me.

It... is a possibility... they are large beasts, so maybe they don't respawn as fast.

So, if the manicores don't respawn I would suggest NOT exploring the St Mountain areas except for finishing the Quest for 9 manticores. The reward is exceptional, but you do have to remember to "set the trap" everytime it's used.

Next time I will complete the Quest for getting the trap and then go directly to St Town at the top avoiding all Manticores, and get what quests I can after finding Character #4. Then come back down the mountain and explore with 4 characters.

It's 9 pashas not 9 manticoras.
