I'm hoping Marlyn doesn't turn out to be the heroine of the story. I want it to be Genevieve. You are right, lots of goodies. But what's up with all these blue skulls floating around? They don't seem to be harming my party. I wonder if I'm supposed to kill as many as possible or avoid as many as possible. In the end, I'm just pushing forward. I'm not hunting them down, but if they get in my way, well, then, they only have themselves to blame.

We need to move this to a new topic like "end story" or "Evil Shrine" to help people who are getting close to finishing the game. I have just run into those skulls and other things without seeking them out either, but I have been trying to avoid them "just in case" Indi has a counter going and is going to penalize us for killing them. Have you found the secret rooms
Spoiler: show
where you are asked whether you will embrace the dark side of Darth Vader. At least that's what I am thinking. You have to give up your LUK attribute in both cases for othe increases in attributes.

I did one of each (resist and fight) in each of the rooms. In the one I chose to resist, I thought I'd get an increase in darkness resistance, but it didn't seem to make much difference in the element stats.

Can this quest be solved with Genevieve in Busho's party. I tried 2@ Cosmic Potions boosts, and almost....almost.....almost.

Okay, just an almost got there moment. +::cry

I read someone's comment that implied Penelope got it done. But, with Busho's party only Genevieve steps forward to explain it in the bunker when you go back for the Batadon quest. +::sos

I was wondering if this was the case,
Spoiler: show
if you are using Busho's party you need to complete the Batadon quest, use a single MAT boost, and then talk to the blonde in Z's office.
+::shhhh

Those blue skulls are like the mangroves - they steal a bit of your EXP.

I don't think you can solve it with Busho's party. I haven't done it either.

I spotted it because I know Indy, and I just knew that this could not be a neutral, purely visual interest thing, so I kept checking all stats to see what was going on, and it quickly became apparent what they did.

Yes, you can complete this with Busho's party, and my spoiler explains how. But it may require a different approach than when Caius' party completes it. I was able to complete Q18 with a boost for Genevieve, but couldn't unlock it during my first game. So, obviously I don't know the differences between each party approach to solving this quest.

You telling me that Genevieve managed to explain the joke to that blonde bimbo with a boost ? What was lilith's reaction ?
I tried all boosts in my inventory on her at that time and Genevieve still had the reaction : "What could I say ? I have no ideea" ... and yes I remember pumping her with 2 MAT boosts and 2 MDF boosts this time just to be sure

Genevieve whispers the joke answer in the blonde's ear, so no reaction other what did you tell her. Genevieve basically said it was a secret. But I think this needs to be done in a specific order.
Spoiler: show
When Genevieve tried explaining it when they first arrived, it could not be solved with any boost. But after defeating Batadon, it was possible for Genevieve to explain the joke to the blonde with a single MAT boost.

I've just completed the Batadon quest and I don't have an MAT boost for Genevieve. I only got as far as the entrance to the secret shrine. I'm going to revert back to the save just before going to the bunker. Hopefully I'll find an MAT boost in the shrine and I'll retry that quest.

I wish I could help with something specific.

What secret shrine are you talking about? Is the Blonde IQ quest the last you need to do before entering the volcano and the evil shrine?

I assume you have found Audrey and Q#10 Legendary Treasure. I have a note there is a Cosmic Potion (maybe 2) in the main treasure room and I still have one in inventory. I remember I did the Blonde IQ quest last before the final volcano/dark shrine segments.

I didn't mean to type 'secret shrine,' meant to type 'evil shrine.' Can't even blame auto-type for that one! +

Yup, found the boosts I needed exactly where you said, went back and.... ALMOST gave up, but then I remembered you had said something about killing the evolbats first. So I did that, and then it was easy. Thanks again, kimo.
