But seriously, common sense didn't prevail in this quest. I know turkeys are stupid and apparently Cockas are related to them. Someone mentioned before that pushing the switch when they saw the Cocka was in the cage didn't work because the bird was gone when they came back to check. I would never have guessed the solution required you to NOT DO something.

Another person said "Grab It" after you had it trapped, so I just tried different ways of trapping the bird for almost 1 hour.

All I can say is that some of the "hints" were a bit misleading and there is a dent in my wall right now. Funny, the dent is in the shape of my head. +::cry

Thanks for the idea. You can't smash the door closed. And the logs and rocks in the area cannot be moved to block the door either. I guess you just have to close it the same way you opened it.

After having already pmed the solution to 3 people, i got the green light from the almighty Trickster to post the solution.

What i did was:
- Triggered the sisters quest
- triggered cocka quest
- chased cocka to the 3rd area, where the cage is ( i don't think that's necessary, you can chase cocka to that spot after you free the girl )
- killed the 7 sisters
- clicked on the cage door and chose "try something else"
- went to the button and pressed it ( i hadn't touched it before that )
- went back, finished the 7 sisters by talking to the girl
- went to the cage area and herded cocka inside
- tried to grab it and got some dialogue and small cutscene
- went back to the button and pressed it
- returned to the cage and cocka was captured.

I followed these steps exactly as written and came back to an empty cage. And, yes, my party and the stupid bird were inside the cage when there was some dialogue. So, I repeated the process and on the second attempt I was successful. I post this because it may be that the quest wants you to do some chasing and dialogue reading before allowing you to capture. If you haven't yet started this quest, it may help to chase the bird through at least one cycle (right screen by Fenlyr's house, mid screen, left screen by cage, back to Fenlyr's house, mid screen and cage area again) before going in for the final capture.

I have tried so many times to catch that cocka in the cage, and, it just runs back every time.

You need to follow Lilac's process EXACTLY as given by her above. It works, but as LadyJJ said, you might have to chase the Cocka more than 1 cycle. I was lucky, I guess, because I was sucessful the first time.

If you finished Q27, then how did you get the girl out of the cage? As many of us have found out, there is a wrong choice and I hope you have a save. Sorry, but since you don't know where the green button is...well as it was said in an Indiana Jones movie about the chalice "you have chosen poorly." Join the club many of us have apparently started. +::Thumbup

thanks went back to a previous save and did it again found the switch now got to get that cocka into cage

Okay I now have that chook in the cage but when I go into grab it - it just takes off again - I tried just going to the switch and closing the door then back to Fenlyr but quest is not finished - what am I doing wrong- re did scene again now got dialogue to work
