Game font

There is any chance to change or add a new patch with an option to change fonts, the black message box along with part of the character's artowrk and that font that sometimes links one letter to another makes my eyes hurt trying to read the dialogue.

The main problem for me is that when the character's artwork appear when they are talking, the colors mix with the transparecy of the message box and the font is not so clear which make my head and eyes hurt trying to read it.

If the font could be like the the title screen options kind of font, it would be better.

This is not an easy one as I'm not sure I've got a font change option at hand.
Personally I did like the font (hence why I picked it), even after playing hundreds of hours with it.
Changing it to another one is technically quite easy but that leaves the danger of having some lines longer than dialogues boxes (unless the new font is *always* smaller than the old one).

I find it hard to pay attention to the text because the Hs and Ys are sometimes hard to know what they are, like h looks like b and as english is not my first language, it takes a few tiring seconds (long enough to give me a mild migraine) to realize the right word.

Not to mention that the colors of the character artworks behind the message box also get in the way, but the main problem for me is the font.

But as I can see, this is only bothering me and nobody else, so I guess that won't be changed.

Actually, I'm trying to add this feature. While personally I do like the font, it'd be better if everybody can enjoy a pleasant read. :)
(especially since there is a lot of xD)

Funny you should mention the "h"/"b" letter issue. I thought comments were being made about 2 NPC's bats and couldn't figure out why someone's bat was a fashion statement. And English is my first language.

The font does take some getting used to. But there are so many different aspects to the game mechanics I have not encountered before, I consider it to be one of those differences that just makes this game very unique from previously played games. But I do agree about potential issues for some people with having to struggle with words just because of a letter's tail is hanging below the font line.

Oh really? That would be great, thanks. And since I'm here, I would like to say the game looks very promising from the demo, the dialogue is good, the music is pleasant and the new mechanics are also good, it seems that this is your first game using this engine, so for me, anything (resources, art, music, etc) is totally new and exciting. And last but not least, the battle system is the best, everything is fast and smooth, and the side-view battle in this is something new and, for me who never had problem with past battle systems, is a very welcome. Good job, hope everyone else likes the game.

I know right? I talked to a girl and then Marlyn, the succubus, said she had a funny bat... only after a few seconds I noticed she actually said hat and not bat. lol

The mechanics of this game is really good, I think this is the first Aldorlea Game made using this engine(?), everything looks neat and new. I guess it takes some time to get used, but that time takes while gives me migraine.

Thank you D-Squall. :)
I'll try to add the multi-fonts option, probably tomorrow as it's getting a bit late here now.

PROGRESS:
Font selection might be hard to parameter for various reasons (notably font size).
However I tried a different arrangement using the menu fonts for dialogues and a pretty "neutral" font for the menu (still want to keep different ones for menus and dialogues).

Is it better?

I like it, for me It would be much more enjoyable to read the dialogues with that font.

Seems you're both happy with it, so that's 100% approval (lol), so probably I'll upload a new build tomorrow morning (now is a bit late with my slow connection).

The game has been updated with the new set of fonts.
For menus the change is immediate. For dialogues, the way the game was coded, I had to make sure you'd read a specific dialogue, so I used the inn for that. In 4 words, sleep at any inn.

Thank you for the update. It was very kind of you to actually implement that as hard as it might have been.
I will check it out.
