I completed the Volcano, lost Marlyn. The guide says that Genevieve should "mention" the hut, but of course she doesn't. Does this mean I can never access it? If so, wouldn't it be nice if there had been at least a hint in the guide about this?

You need an item that can be found in the volcano.
The guide covers the main quest but not optional stuff (to the notable exception of all 78 secret rooms).

Did you ever get a message from Genevieve about her lost contacts? I think this happens when you find the Calacyte 500 in the ruins. Check your key items for Calacyte 500. The hut doesn't appear until after the volcano erupts, but poor, dear Genevieve is just SO exhausted from the whole ordeal, she's forgotten about her contacts. Maybe a good night's sleep will trigger her memory?

Although, if you don't find the Calacyte 500, I'm not sure if it will trigger.

I'm sorry to be a pest, but where in the ruins is the Calacyte 500? I've been all over the ruins three times and cannot locate it.

It's not in the ruins bit, but in the volcano.

In Geneware hut, there is something i need to do about the chair, but Genevieve doesn't remember..do i need an item here?

It's 2 boosts. I don't remember now exactly which ones I did, I think it was the MMP one and one which boosted her MDF.

You say it's in the volcano. I have been all over the volcano three times too. Where?

Of course having gotten into the Genewares hut I am unable to go into the second secret room because I don't have a particular boost.

But you can always go back when you do find the boost(s), so it's not lost forever. I didn't get in until after I was already in the maze to Master Z. You will want to get in there before you accept the flying saucer, though, as there's an item in there that you'll need to solve a quest in the bunker. Also, thoroughly search the life room BEFORE talking to Nurse Cynthia.
