Any tips? I found her, talked to Glen and Genevieve comments that "something is uncanny". To be honest, i don't feel motivated at all to try my best to solve the quest because i hate this area and it ruins the fun for me ( i mean, for playing on easy mode, i find the slime fights a bit too much. And 3 slimes whenever i step out of town? +::O_o )
Do i use the boost method. I have 1 or 2 of everything besides MAT boost...

As a rule of thumb, whenever Genevieve seems confused about something, you need to increase her magic/mind buffs. What I usually do is save my game, use all my boosts, see if it works. If it doesn't, no sense trying anymore. If it does, quit-no save-reload and try one boost at a time. I don't remember which of the mind boosts it is, but you're definitely on the right track.

I already tried several boosts ( of course i saved first ;) ) but it didn't help. Like i said, i don't have a boost to increase MAT ( and no way am i going out there to search, unless i know for sure that in X spot you find such a boost ). I even changed her gear to give her max MP, but no dice. I'll try with her gear again, to give max MAT. What level was your Genevieve when you did the quest?

Can anybody confirm if i need MAT boost? ( that's the mind potion, right? ) I forced myself to finally explore the whole area but didn't find any ( i did find a hero potion in a rather random place though :) ). Actually, haven't found a mind potion since i used my last one for Genevieve's chair.
Is the quest connected in any way with another quest? ( i have a suspicion about the magic village ) I have a better save where the other quests are done.

Ok, i unfortunately suspected that. I don't have a mind potion and i don't fancy going around all over again clicking on every tree, stone or piece of wall, in case i find one. Is there even a mind potion to be found in this area?
Is it doable without a boost? Genevieve is level 36 and adjusting her gear raised her MAT to 456. I'm willing to dump my permanents on her and level up a some more to raise her MAT to 500. Would that be enough? Do you know how much MAT is required?

Also, is this quest connected to another? I have this theory in my head that Glen is also dead ( but wouldn't our sage realize that? ) , and the skeleton in the magic village is his. Or one of the graves that are scattered around is his ( i found one where the characters comment that there's no name on it, hmm... ) But the save i have with Genevieve at level 36 is the one where i completed the other quests and already visited the magic village. I don't want to kill the king slime for a third time... +::fear

Trees, stones and walls hardly bear items (if ever). In general it's more crates, barrels etc

Is there even a mind potion to be found in this area?

tbh I don't know this.

A buff is always required.

Nope.

It's a very interesting theory ;) +::shhhh

The Rayanne quest is not dependent on the Magic Village, no worries there.

I already looted all the standard lootable objects like crates and barrels and i have clicked on several random objects. That's how i found the hero potion in the snowman. Why couldn't it be a mind potion instead? +::cry

A buff is always required.

That's interesting... If i was an insane person and leveled Genevieve up to level 99, that still wouldn't suffice? So, numbers don't really count, you just have to use a boost, period. Is that correct?

That's at least some good news.

I don't know for certain yet, as I haven't got as far as getting that quest (still hauling myself up the mountain), but there is a grave with the name 'Tiny Tim' on it, so maybe you're onto something.

Don't know if i'm onto something but the Trickster's quests have made me a little paranoid, that's for sure! +::biggrin

Yup.
I admit I did it only for gameplay purposes. I just didn't want people to grind forever to achieve any such quest, it was never the concept of it.

Fair enough. that makes sense. So, another failed quest... :( +::cry

What i find unfair is that you don't know for certain where to find said boosts. Whenever i'll replay the game, it's possible i'll fail the quest again because i won't have the needed boost. I mean, i believe i'm pretty thorough in my searching and haven't found a mind boost since the tunnels/bunker ( and i needed that for the chair puzzle )

Their locations are never random though. Where they are, they'll always be.
I think on a second playthrough you can arrange your management of your inventory better and really pick carefully what item you need each time. IMO you're bound to improve your results, as long as you remain as thorough as in your first playthrough.
