Okay so we're learning about the resistance.
Leave town and you'll see a tiny patch of woods just north of you. Walk about there and see if you find a secret zone called the lonely woods

Nope. I had tried tramping through every wood and entered every farm or cave. Nothing. It's like I missed some trigger. I think I tried to talk to everyone to see if I missed something, but it just is not progressing.

You're not by chance still playing in the demo are you?
did you move your save from the demo into the full game or anything like that?
because that is the only way things would be messed up because it stops all those switches from going off.

where otherwise- once you rescue the mayors daughter and speak with him- it activates the lords of steel switch- which is the baron dialogue.

Because no one else has had this issue, and ive not been able to recreate it
which leads me to believe you are in the demo or using demo files somehow

so once you reached that point in the demo- did you buy the full game and go from there? because that would have messed things up i'm quite positive

Yes, I played demo to end then purchased the full game. After full install, I copied save to new directory and continued from there. Are you telling me I need to start all over? I did talk to the mayor after rescue of his daughter. He told me to check with Selwithe in the Inn. I did, and Selwithe just says "I'll be around".

Now you see why. shit like this happens.

The full game is bug free.
the demo is a demo.

you were NOT meant to transfer your demo file into the full game and go from there.

I'm glad we got it figured out- and i'm sorry you spent so much time walking around trying to figure out what to do- when the answer was literally in front of both of us

Yeah, I started a new game and got a whole different response when I returned the mayor's daughter. I went to talk to Selwithe and he directed me to the Lonely Woods you were asking about before. Thanks for the help.

There we go! okay i'm glad you got it.

The entire game should be bug free-
that's normally a large selling point to my games so i knew something was up.

OK: Here is my review as requested. I love it!! Now I have to start over, I think I will get a lizardman or a cursed one this time and make them barbarians instead of paladins. I think I will keep Shana as a cleric as her spells are so useful to keep everyone alive and healthy. I think I did everything except "the whiskey One", "the Folklore book one" and finding someone to make the potion out of the "dusk Shade Plant" That I have for the lady in the inn who cannot sleep. Well maybe I'll have better luck this time.

id try Shana as a wizard, and daniel as a barbarian!

then you've got some flexibility.

I love cursed, or a bard for your character

just my opinion !!! <3

Cursed/Bard/Barbarian will have some healing- so that allows you to take the cleric out of your party.

I want to start off by saying I love all the games by this developer. The Still hit all my sweet spots, it has a quest log, is challenging but not overbearingly so, has so many good items drops and stuff to find that I didn't have to really pay for any potions. I love the characters and the progression of the story and the whole laid back have fun feel. I feel it was made just for me lol. I love to play a game that I can relax and enjoy every moment without getting stuck by hard puzzles or battles that are long hard and drawn out. This game is just the right balance. As always this developer puts out quality games and is always available to help or answer questions. I will definitely be playing this a second time with new characters. Very well done.
