I have been able to optimize the game and both the demo and full game should now be (much) faster during battles.

In order to optimize it, I've had to recode some parts, so if you are a bit far in the game (namely if you have used a lot of technics beyond the 100 marks and/or if you've completed a lot of guild quests in general above 3 pts), you might want to keep a copy of your old version just to stay on the safe side - some perks might also no longer work.

However, if you're not too far in the game, or have yet to play it, make sure to use the newest versions!

I'm definetly downloading this version, unfortunately I not see some perks anymore but it's a small price to pay for a smoother game. Unfortunately the lagging is really stressing me out, I was happy that it was not lagging anymore for a while, but it lasted only two dungeons then all came back to me.

I think I'm too far into the game to reinstall now but I'll download for a future playthrough. I did follow Indy's instructions in an earlier post (https://www.aldorlea.org/officialsite/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=227&t=10291&start=15) and adjusted the battle options

Show Battle Animations: OFF
Battle Animations Speed: Normal
Remember Battle Commands: ON
Effects Intensity: 0%

That has helped. I also save/exit and restart the game about every half hour, or at least when I start to see it lagging again. I do this (1) because the game plays 'hot' in that my computer gets very warm and I need to allow it to 'cool down' periodically and (2) when I restart the game, the lagging isn't present. Fortunately the time to Save/Quit/Restart doesn't take long at all.

I know i don't have the best pc out there but the game is unacceptably laggy and slow. It dampens the whole experience.
I have already changed my settings as Lady JJ mentions but it barely helps. And i'm not installing the new version if it messes with my levelling/skill progress, i have put too much effort into that.
It's one of the main reasons i'm so obsessed ( at least, more so than usual ) to find all the rooms. complete all the quests etc. I'm not planning om replaying any time soon.

I have 4 skills a little over 100, and gaining on 250 with kiss n boost. What will happen if i reinstall?

The ?? in the farmhouse is an Indy troll?? Shame on you, toying with our hearts!!

Most likely with only four over 100, you should be fine with the new version!

Ok, here is my situation.
I had bought LS a few days back, but the game was lagging too much.
Today as soon as i saw this thread, i backedup my usual save file, uninstalled LS, downloaded the demo version and installed it. But it does not show any way to activate it so i can get the fullversion features, nor does it show my save file which i have pasted back into the savefile directory.
What is the mistake in this? and what is the correct procedure?

EDIT: I have tried with the full version also. My savefile just doesnt apear.

Have you made a backup of the entire "save" folder?
This is the way to keep and transfer saves.

I think the uninstaller removed All files (as it usually does),but i can't say for sure. Assuming that it would, i took a manual backup of the save file only. not the folders. Now, the backup save file won't show up in the load list. Do you think my savefile is doomed?

You can see your save file in that save folder, yes? Do this. It's worked for me before in the past with rpg maker games. Start a new game. I know, I know, it's a l-o-n-g cutscene before you finally get control and can save. But I think it's the only way. You're missing a config file, possibly another, where, I think, the information stores what save files are there. I don't pretend to know why this works, I just know it does. Now, save your game making sure you're not using the same slot as the save from the previous build. You don't want to overwrite that save file. Now you need to close the game out and restart the game. This time, when you choose continue, you should see both the save you just made and the save from the previous build. Just to be on the safe side, maybe make a copy of that save file and place it on your desktop before you do this? Better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you for this information, but unfortunately, it still doesn't detect this save file. I have already restarted since i was not too far into the game because of the lagging.

Just letting you know that your update has helped enormously - no lag at all now and the picture even seems clearer to me ( probably without the wobbles ).
With the initial fix as described by LadyJJ and Lilac above - although I think the Remember Battle Commands was "OFF" - it had helped but recently started to happen again (Sewers and Shrine). Now it's great and it really helps my enjoyment
I hesitated at first because I was a bit wary about losing stuff but agree with D-Squall about it being worth it! And I was most definitely not as advanced as Lilac or LadyJJ
