I just bought kara quest aka dark soul 3. i start out with a mini screen on the middle of my pc. what buttons do i press so that it takes up the whole screen on my pc?

Try alt + enter keys. Most games use this key combo to switch from windowed to full screen.

alt enter works for putting it on my notebook full screen. however i also have the notebook hooked up to my samsung flat screen tv by vga cables. I play it on my tv screen so when i do the alt enter it goes back to the notebook by default. aqny idea to enlarge it for the tv and not my pc?

Try pressing F1 and check the properties/options menu.

Or you can press F12. The game closes. Open the game again. It should be on full screen.
