Have you given up completely or just for now?

I've just given up for a little while. I was getting tired of going around in circles and I did check the diagram they have in the help section but its just not what is in the game. For some reason when I go toward what I think is the manor/mansion it goes to another are like the one where the skeleton tree is and the blue fairy or starts goin to the creepy house and kind fairy. I was also getting tired of holding down the right or left arrow keys to make them move and fighting my computer. I have done all I can to get rid of memory hogs on my computer but there are still so many left that I have to find temporary solutions for so I can play the game in peace. I actually do like the nirium equipment cause it makes it easier to fight some monsters I couldnt fight and get more GP's.

surfergranny which diagram map? I have tried using the map of witchwood and it does help to a certain point then for some reason when I get close, actually the next screen to the manor it changes.
Its something else instead of the manor.

Getting to the manor can be tricky.
Referring to this map

You have to exactly follow the path indicated by the dark blue line

To get to the manor-
Enter witch woods
go west (meaning exit current screen to the next screen by going to the left)
go north (exit up)
go east (exit to the right)
go north (exit up)
go east (exit to the right)

You should be there now
Any deviation from the path and you have to start over again at the entrance
You cannot take an alternate path to get there
The same applies if you want to find the old lady, but you have to follow the yellow line on the map
