Sarah's First Guild Quest

A rather stupid question: Where can I find the Rare Powder for Sarah's guild quest? The quest area is Indinera Woods but I didn't find it after looking all around.

It's in the screen where you find the guy who first tells you about the trial, up on the little ledge area above him, near the tree line.
