On the screen with pink fairy and old house there is an area to the SW with a bunch of pumpkins inside a cliff - is that accessible and if so how? Thanks!

No. I've asked that question too, and no one has been able to get there. There are several places like that in Witchwoods, where you'll see an item that you think you should be able to get, but can't.

So far I have not been able to get them either.

You'll see some mugworts on a cliff that you can't reach either, some more exp. pumpkins in the mansion...
