Can't find Choupie!

Can anyone help me find Choupie in the Witch Woods (or is he in the Eye of the Witch Woods?) - I found the witch who did NOT take Choupie, but since then, I've spent hours looking for him but cannot seem to locate him. Please help!

You have to find a mansion. Try to don't follow the pumpkins

Thanks for the tip! There must be a secret way into the buildings that i've seen so far (?). But I have to say, it's hard to avoid the "pumpkin trail" because you don't see them until they hit you! Any secrets there??? I won't be able to get back to the game until next weekend, so I'll let you know when I find Choupie!

Thanks so much for your help everyone! I made it through a lot of stuff, but have to say the Stairs of Nevenmore are extremely annoying............I'm getting to the point where I feel I've gone far enough in this game to be satisfied with my progress if I give up now.
