killing Balbazak

what is the best way to kill balbazak in the pirates den? i have random, sarah, spark and luciana/ they are all around level 36 to 39. my trouble is they get first shot and 2 or more of my players are exhasted the first round. anybody have a good way to beat these guys. Please hekp.

I think that the fire spells work good for them, but try leveling up some in witchwood, they were hard to beat at the begining.
