path of blood and spirit of jar

I have cleared the path of blood but can't find quest to kill spirit of jar. Quest 37 is quest for killing spirit of blood jar....where do i get this quest from?
If I clear the whole path of blood, is it too late to get the quest to kill the spirit of jar?

No. It is a separate quest. You get it from a guy in the room that the switch at the end opens. You get it after you finish Hotel Cosmopolitan, I think.

Help again! I went to Hotel Cosmopolitan; returned to the man with the switch behind him and did not get the quest to kill the spirit of blood jar.

The switch in that room opens another room and the person in that room gives you a quest to kill the spirit in the crystal. It is the room at the bottom right in the Manor of Fools.

I. I've been to the Hotel numerous times, killed the thing with a million eyes, talked to everybody.
2. I've been to the Manor of Fools, where the locked door is.
3. I've tried flipping the switch above the blood jar path, and then going back to the Manor of Fools, and that locked room is still locked.
What am I missing? I'm playing in Hell Mode; I played the game once before and killed the Blood Jar thing, only to later get a quest to kill it, which I was unable to fulfill, because I had already killed it. I want to get the quest first, then kill it. Help!

I don't think you can do it if he's dead already.
What are the questions related to points 1/2/3?

All my points are about the path of blood and spirit of jar. This time around, I've been trying to get the quest BEFORE doing the path of blood thing, and I'm trying to find out how to do th is. How do I get the quest?

It's in the Manor of Fools.
If i remember correctly, reach the bottom of the Path of Blood.
Switch the last lever ON.
Go back to the Manor of Fools and check the room that had a grid before.
Take a quest from the knight.
Go back to the Path of Blood.
Save on another savefile in case my memory is wrong.
