You need to add up the damage from each hit you make against it. When the total damage you've inflicted nears 7000, stop attacking and start buffing a character with anything that increases their AT/ST. (Use items, self buffs, skill buffs, etc.)
I went with Random using Fury like the walkthrough suggests, but apparently Askhbar can do some good damage too if he is properly equipped from what I've read. Random's Metallist Curse skill makes a pretty big difference, so make sure the enemy is afflicted with it before you launch your final strike at it. From there, you just need to be able to do around 3000 damage with a massive attack, which is the hardest part of the whole fight really.
