Hi Woolf,
Please ask any questions about specific games it the correct section for Laxius Force 1 please see this forum - viewforum.php?f=42

In response to your question:
From the walkthrough viewtopic.php?f=65&t=1636&p=15014&hilit=mushrooms#p15014

Go back to the mage guild and talk to Sandra. Ask about the highest tree contest. She says to find as many growth mushrooms as you can. If you've followed the walkthrough, you should have enough. Increase Sarah's mind and speed. Talk to her again to go to the contest. Explore around. Have a chat to the judges on the ropes. Use the mushrooms on the trees, but do not water it as it is already pouring rain and more water just hurts the tree. Then use mana to make it taller. She says that she needs great mind and speed for this act. When done go and chat to the lady to the right of her and say you are done with the tree. It will then go to a cut scene showing Sarah’s tree going up into the clouds and way past the witch’s tree. (You can experiment if you want to try and have some growth mushrooms left over. It's possible to complete this with as few as 12 mushrooms, but you'll most likely need to use more depending on her SP/MN stats)

I'll give you a little time to see this reply and then I will move your post to the correct section :)

Yeah, you'd need at least 12 I believe, possibly 11 if Sarah is at an extremely high level. (Luck ring equipped on Random, don't water the tree, and boost Sarah's stats as high as you can with auras from skills/items.)

Some of the harder to find mushrooms you might have missed:

If you donated 2000g to Solwan in chapter 3, then he will have opened a shop in the early 1001 Lakes area. You can buy 2 growth mushrooms just from his regular menu. Also, if you talk to him repeatedly (Cancel out of the shop menu, and initiate dialogue over and over), he will offer an additional 10x growth mushrooms if Random has the Luck Ring equipped.

Furthermore, there are a bunch of mushrooms to the uppermost area of the main 1001 Lakes area. There are 2x growth mushrooms specifically on a little perch by themselves in that area, and Sarah can jump to them (if her speed stat is high enough), by facing the edge closest to them and clicking the action button.

Thanks ^^

If you want to share with everyone else impressions, help and stuff about the hottest game right now, then indeed pick Dreamscape.
If you want to follow the story of the Laxius Force saga, obviously LF2 is your best pick. +::wizard
