Hi all, I'm in Chapter 1 and trying to level up my characters.

Is there any benefit to levelling up Marilys? What levels does she get new skills at? I have her at level 23, and if there is no benefit, I'd rather go back to land and level up Cocka-Cocka ...

Also, does Marilys' level in LF3 depend on the LF1 level?

It's hard to confirm this, I would need to check in the code, but that would be kinda cheating lol

Ok, I'll figure out the skills myself.
Could you confirm if Marilyis level in LF3 is a continuation of LF1 level?

Don't forget you can at least raise her kill count while your party is small.
Currently at lv30 with her and I plan to get her to lv50 or 60 so i'll see the skills some day, but i don't think she has any beyond lv17

Good point, I'll spend some time on her.
Currently, Cocka is raising his kill count, while Random hangs onto dear life with only 1 HP

Reeker Bulb + Seed Pendant on Random.
Luckily, 1 HP is the lowest he can go to...

Yay! Killed my first Holocaust Wraith using God's Blade, and no one died. Now I can hopefully level up faster.

Just a few tips:
Silver sword is more efficient against the Holocaust wraith.
Vanina is a good help for your training (Good sacrifice and can delay it with the Earthquake Cane)

P.S. I think you're insane to take the Reeker Bulb that soon XD I usually do that just before leaving for chapter 2.

Not courageous, but stupid

. I took the bulb, then started to level up.
Thankfully, Cocka has never missed hitting a Mist Wraith yet, so Random still survives...

Thanks for the Silver Sword tip - now I can kill the Holocaust wraith in two rounds. I guess I need to level up much more to do it in one round.

The requirement for that is most probably the next improvement in the skills power scale.
As for Marilyis: Lv41 right now, no change. Looked in a LF3 save and she has 7 seas at lv54+stronger skills.
