I feel as though I've tried everything in my inventory; all the weapons; and mixed my team but nothing has worked. Can anyone help? Random is L46, I think.

Use Random's "Thunder Implosion" spell to numb it (might not work the first time, but don't give up, it definitely will!), and then I think Sarah's "Sun Boomer" spell worked well.

Both Gaes appear at once and I managed to get them both numbed but I couldn't destroy them. Then they destroyed me when it wore off. I don't think I'll continue with this part. It doesn't seem to be relevant and I've spoken to the ice mage,

Hey, don't give up, it's doable!
Just use Random's Thunder Implosion" again and again, even if they are already numbed. That way they won't wake up so easily and iirc it only takes a few rounds to kill them. Even if they might kill one of your party members - just revive them. It's worth the effort - they sometimes drop good stuff!

Use Wendala's Alpha Night along with what Cassi said It'll be enough to take down those monsters

I finally kill it over 31,000 hits plus.

i feel like a real warrior.

i kill it with random thunder implosion first then inflict heroism for a turns ,then wendala casts weapon boosts and haste..random attack fury he deals about 2100 damage a turn all the rests heal,revive,and mana.

try mind (i remember a pit full of geas, hard battles (i wasnt very well levelled) but i got a mind chasm book at the end of the pit, (after avoiding them) and teaching it to wendie, which slaughtered them on the way back, marion and sandy have mind spells which i think work reasonably well too)
i dont know if it works on ancient geas (i seem to remember it didnt work on a few species) but its worth a try (how worth it? 10000-50000 damage against geas i remember (been a while since LF1, or fighting geas))
