I've missed several items here:
1. Elven mithril mail
2. Gigas jaws
3. Brasant jaws

Hmm, sorry... as Laxius Force is an enormous game, I don't remember where to find those.

1. Elven Mithril Armor - Where do you know about this item from? I don't have it in inventory, neither in final save from LF1, nor from LF2 and I wasn't able to find any mention about it on the forum. If this item exists, I have no idea how to obtain it.

2. Gigas Jaws - I'm not sure, but I believe that it's a (not very high chance) drop from some kind of Anaconda. Perhaps they are called Gigas Anaconda or something like that. I don't know if that's the correct name, but you fight them at the end of Chapter 5 - i.e. in LF2. I don't know if you can obtain these in LF1 (I don't have them in my export save from LF1), but they are not so good anyway. (+143 ATT, +22 PD, +7 MD, +4 STR, +6RES)


3. Brasant Jaws - You can buy them from Galford - the guy at Weapon Shop at Adretana Main Avenue (it's the building down from HQ), but you need to buy a lot of things from him, then he restocks and has some fairly good wares.
And when I wrote to buy a lot of things, I really meant a lot, you need to spend something like 200 or 300K gold there. It's also possible that you need to have Luck Ring equipped when buying from him and talking to him for the first time after he replenishes. I don't remember anything more, it has been quite some time since my last LF1 playthrough. But I remember that it wasn't my find, someone posted this on the forum. I couldn't find the topic, though, so no link...

They are pretty good, btw. (+252 ATT, +20 PD, +30 MD, +15STR, +3 RES, +12MIND) You will only find better late in LF2.

That's why I couldn't find in the walkthrough, most of those items are from LF2.

1. I don't know where it is for certain, but the elven mithril mail pops up in my inventory late in chapter 3, sometime after travelling west in the machine, but also before the end of the chapter. It's either a rare drop the walkthrough doesn't mention, or one of the various shops in that chapter starts carrying it at some point. Possibly the elven guild or the thief guild eventually carries it, as I recall their merchandise updates as you progress in their guilds.

2. There is at least one encounter against a gigas hydra in LF1, in the 1001 Lakes area. The gigas jaws are most likely a rare drop from that enemy. Odds are you can still get it in LF2 as Tomas said.

3. For Galford, I believe the walkthrough figured out the exact requirement. Rather than buying a whole bunch of stuff, you just need to buy ~10,000 gold worth of merchandise during a single shopping trip. If you just spend 5000 one trip, and 5000 another, it will never trigger his merchandise changing. After spending that much, you'll need to potter around a bit before he finally updates his stock though, it’s not instantaneous. The kobold in the shop should start to mention the new stock after awhile, and eventually the stock itself will update as well.

Kale: Gigas Hydra drops Gorgonum Skin, I believe. Also, you only encounter one Gigas Hydra in LF2, if I remember it right, but I had 3 Gigas Jaws at the end of LF2, thus it must be a drop from an another enemy.

Heritj731: What about the Elven Mithril Armor, does it have good stats? (I've never seen it in game.)

you're right Gigas Hydra drops Gorgonum Skin, and about the elven mithril mail is have prot dark/earth| evade +4 stats, not so good I think..

Just to solve the mystery for the sake of future posterity. The Gigas Jaws are indeed dropped by the Gigas Hydras, as they appear in the initial 1001 Lakes area. There is one of them attacking Argyas as part of Quest 88, and another is fought north of the transports, as part of the event where the fish dives into the water and the monster attacks you. (The drop is somewhat rare though, and easily missed) This gives you a chance to get at least two of them in LF1, possibly more if the creature is encountered again.

It's possible that there is another Gigas enemy that shares the same (or similar) name which drops the Gorgonum Skin. Although I had always understood that the yellow hydra, named Gorgonum, as in 'Gorgonum Skin', dropped the Gorgonum Skin. I believe the encounter against the Gorgonum includes a Gigas Hydra though, so you can get the Gigas Jaws as loot from the encounter, but it's not the Gorgonum that drops them.

Hi Kale, sorry my mistake, I've backtrack my save files, and found that is true that Gorgonum Skin was dropped by yellow hydra call Gorgonum and indeed that Gigas Jaws was dropped by Gigas Hydra, thank you for your corrections
