I have passed the spot to get the spinach and have just finished Lamia, is there a way to go back and get the spinach. If not, is there another one? What are the consequences if I don't get all the ingredience for the witch?

After finishing the game you'll be able to get back to SankT Leona. From there go to valley,Xen and Lamia Village.

I am able to go back to the Lamia Village, but not to the point where the spinach is which is before you jump off the cliff. So, what do I miss by not giving the ingredience to the witch?
