Skill Question

I think that I have now downloaded the version of 26 Nov 2009 since my last post, whatever the latest version is (sorry about that, I couldn't tell that I didn't have the latest version since you don't seem to always announce it when there's a new version unless you go looking for that information). Anyway, I did find a couple of problems like this:

Master Sword
Guru Sword

The same thing is true for Rayanne where she has Guru Survival in her Skills List, but her Status shows Master Survival. I'm sure both characters have the Guru level since I just bought them. There may be others but all of them don't always show in the status page.

OK! I have updated the list of Skill problems that I found for the new version, which by the way, hasn't changed all that much. I basically only rechecked those things that were problems the first time, I assume that there aren't any new ones, lol! Except this time I went back and checked Hyperbole Cave and Hyperbole Town, which I didn't do the first time. I also went through my posts and added any Skill problems that I found after I posted the first file, so you don't need to go back and look for that information. Here it is:

Just a note to add to this: I found that when I buy Master, it doesn't show in the list. It seems that I can't get Guru on a couple of things (didn't make notes, just remember that it happened) and I have Guru on merchantile and still don't get full value on any buyer. The best I have seeen is about 70% of value. I don't need to sell because I have 250k gold, but after getting Guru, you would think I could get full value somewhere. I also can't go back to the center of the world now as when in Hyperbole I try to go down and Glen says "Let's just get out of here fast" or something like that. About 70 hours of this and I'm starting to look for another game because this one doesn't seem to want me to finish it! Is there a new download since a couple of weeks ago?

Yep, it's true, you can't go back to Silver Cave and beyond. You also can't return to the Hall of Justice in Hyperbole Town. When I was in the Center of the World, I accidentally talked to the wrong person and I was forced to leave, so I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do there. Although, the main quest (really the only quest in this game) doesn't require that you go back there. But it's kind of annoying.

Yeah, some skills also don't show what level you're at, or even if it says Master, for example, if you try to buy the next level (i.e., Guru) you can't. Who's wrong, the character or the list? I don't really know. I hope that Indinera will fix that. I did send him a file of the problems I found. (It's in an earlier post in this thread.) As for what the character can do, it's hard to tell sometimes what the difference is between Expert, Master and Guru levels of a lot of skills, and I wondered myself if there are any differences. I never noticed any changes in the price given for the Blue Gem (which was my standard of comparison) at any given shop at any level at all. If the gem was 27G, it stayed 27G throughout the game. All the other gems, etc., were always exactly the same percentage of the "best" price at that particular shop.

It's just like learning Telekynesis in Hyperbole, there is a master of telekynesis, but if you don't have the expert telekynesis, you won't learn the master, that's why in Hyperbole have the expert, for you learn here(In case you haven't learned before) and after, learn the master telekynesis

I just found out that when I'm in Savioropolis and I want to learn guru telekynesis for Rayanne, Lazy Bone just says: Rayanna is already an expert. But he's wrong, cause she's already master.

Anyone have the same problem?

It's a typo indeed but you should be Guru (and he should say you are already a Guru, not an Expert)
